Brand new low north of 49

Thanks to everyone who stayed up until 3 in the morning while I measured and re-measured.

Two of us made static line jumps from a 111 foot object last night.

There are freefalls, and there are static line jumps, and there are those static line jumps where the parachute serves less as a wing than as an aerodynamic deceleration device. I'm sure everyone who has jumped from this height can appreciate how stoked I am with the introduction to the local base scene of a completely different kind of jump.

    damn!

well done chief! i've 2 jumps from the 120- range pca 'n static and think a free from 111' is indeed quite crazy!! if you walked away good on ya but i suggest not making a habit of these kind of jumps. keep it fun and keep it safe (ish)!

Umm, I think you misunderstood. The 111-foot jump was a static line jump. Not quite crazy enough to freefall it (yet).

P.S. I edited the original post to make this a little more clear.

It was also over hard ground ...not water...

(Mind you most of the water is pretty hard at this time of year!:7 )
