Did anyone else watched ESPN channel last night? It featured "the highest base-jump in the world", which was from 4km (16000f) in Switzerland and it looked like the jumpers took a good couple of seconds (2-3) freefall. :)

Yeah, that was Ueli Gegenschatz.
He and his Austrian climber/BASE jumper friend jumped the Matterhorn last year...
Is this what you're talking about? Hey, what about the BASE climb movie? Wasn't that like 5 or 6,000 meters high?

Yeah, i guess it was the jump you mentioned, though ESPN featured it as a very recent thing.
I also thought base climb jump was quite a bit higher, but didn't want to write anything about it because i wasn't sure. I also don't know if the jumpers, or their sponsor, or the channel claimed the "world's highest" thingie, but it sounded a bit funny.
Some titles are based on matter of opinion, but things like record heights should be double checked before distributing the footage to the media.
That little thing DID promote the sport, which is a good thing when thinking about the "BIGGER PICTURE".
We are all participating in a sport where different individuals promote themself as the world champion, or the world's best jumper, or even some duma$$s calling himself as the world's smartest jumper. :-)
...And in my opinion Dwayne in the only one who can rightfully promote himself as the current world champion.

Man Talk to someone who doesn't know you jump after they watch base climb 2 And it puts us look so bad I am glad they dont know i jump . Glen Singleman shouldn't be what the world see's about our sport as I think he is a wan k er and is in the sport so he can make cash and just another thing to talk about with his motovational speaking if people that know me if i dont like some i will tell them I have never meet Glenn but one day i hope i do so i can tell him to his face he is a DI C K HEAD .
As For the highest jump in the world like most world records it not clean cut Take the biggest ways The current world record 24 way off Number 7 Norway witch and then look at the 11 way at Bungiona which and the 11 way kick's the 24 ways A$$
