TWIN FALLS -- The Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls has long been one of the best-known places for BASE jumping thrill seekers.
This week, the sports cable channel ESPN will broadcast a feature on the bridge and the BASE jumping camp operated by Tom Aiello.
BASE jumping is a sport that involves leaping from fixed objects such as bridges, cliffs or buildings and using a parachute to land safely.
The Perrine Bridge is a magnet for BASE jumpers because it spans the Snake River at a height of 486 feet.
At his camp in Twin Falls, Aiello conducts training sessions two weekends each month. And four of his students are involved in the ESPN episode.
The program was filmed in May and is the fifth installment of the channel's new E-60 show, which takes a more in-depth look at various sports and activities.

Does more publicity = more tourism to twin = lowering the chance of jumping ban?
