Christmas Serial: The Drifter, Chapter 2 (The Daily News)

The story so far: It’s late November, 1971. Sandra and Lenny are living with their grandparents in a cabin near Ariel, Wash. while their dad logs in Alaska. Their rural environment explodes with the news that a man has hijacked a jet liner in Seattle and, with $200,000 in ransom money, jumped out of the plane in the area south of Mount St. Helens on the west side of the Cascade range.
