CHALLENGES: A. A., 27 years old, is the ghost that the Street Police was searching for months, and denounced for procured alarm. The motorists signaled suicides. It was "base jumping" We have our base jumper, who would have ever said it? A true flying man. Just like in America, where with a parachute on the back there is who throws himself off the top of skyscrapers, suspended bridges, canyon, in spite of the prohibition and to dynamics, escaping from police as soon as touched the ground. To the police our hero has surrendered, but. He is a construction enterpreneur of M ******, has 27 years and he calls himself A. A.: the investigators of the Street Police of S ******* have identified him and denounced for procured alarm. Betrayed because of his vanity. Its exploits, told to the bar, have made too much noise and have arrived to the ears of the men directed by inspector W. T.
A. is the ghost that the agents has been searching for months, as a result of the recurrent notifications of suicides from the highway bridges. Is it possible that a man throws himself off a bridge without leaving a trace? Is it possible that he launches into empty space and disappears in spite of the efforts to find him made by National Fire Department and volunteers of the Forest Corps, and the sniffing capabilities of the dogs of the cinofile units? Possible. Granted that this man has the wings.
Something much similar allows since three years A. A. to the base jump: extreme sport and extremely dangerous sport where someone launches himself off fixed platforms and the time for opening the parachute has been limited to few moments. A delay means death. That same death which many had suspected had been searched by that man noticed standing on the guard-rail of the highway bridge, on the A7 freeway North. All the other way around: "I searched the adrenalin but not only that and I would not know as to explain such emotions. They must be lived - explains the flying man - and since two-three years I live those emotions two, three times a week. It’s a sort of drug. I know that it is prohibited to stop the car in freeway, on the overtake lane, and to throw himself into the empty space in front of the eyes of tens of astonished people. I know that it is risky. But it is stronger than myself. There is who likes to run, to play football, to play tennis. I throw myself off into the empty space". ... The record of A. A.: "Sixty meters, the minimum in order to succeed to open the parachute before smashing into the ground". Where? "it cannot be said". The secrecy of the elected sites for this kind of exploits is one of the fundamental characteristics: "highway bridge of M ****** it is one of the best ones because it is repaired from the wind", it explains the 27 y.o.. The next challenge? "the launch from the top of the stadium of P ******, in C*****i. I have already bought the ticket ". The failed exploit? The jump from the tip of palace M *****, a skyscraper in the municipality of G *****: is told that the construction enterpreneur has been blocked by the surveillance, before reaching the “springboard”. A. A., fan of extreme sports, holder of parachutist licence since five years, is known in the bar of M ****** just so: as the flying man. Yesterday morning the agents of the Street Police have knocked to the door of his house with in hand a search warrant signed by the substitute prosecutor. In his room they found special parachutes for base jumping, the helmet with mini videocamera for the recording of exploits and the video cassettes with the recordings of all the successful exploits. All the equipment and the evidence of launches have been placed under seizure.
