    Holiday Inn refunds

Like most of you, I didn't want money back from Avery & Harry. They work hard for US, and there is no need for them to go broke doing so.
The Holiday Inn, however, should refund our reservation money, since they didn't provide us a bed or a hot tub or a place to pay too much for beers. I have spoken to them twice, and been told that refunds are forthcoming. My question is, has anyone among you received a check as yet?
    Love to you all
    Joe;-)

    RE: Holiday Inn refunds

I got my credit card statement the other day. The Holiday Inn credited my account for the deposit (in full) during the second week of October.

    RE: Holiday Inn refunds

If Badenhop is going to take out for vague expenses, why shouldn't the Holiday Inn?
They had clerical expenses, gas milage on their cars, Accounting Department expenses etc. besides suffering severe emotional distress as a result of dropping from "sold out" to almost zero for the Bridgeday weekend.
Instead of allowing those with reservations to call in cancellations, Holiday Inn should have told all those with reservations to send in a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope in order to get some sort of nebulous refund before January, or they are 'out of luck' and lose their money, emphasizing that the downpayment cannot be used for the next Bridgeday.
Holiday Inn, for better customer relations, must maintain integrity in their business dealings.
I am sure, for better relations with jumpers, Badenjump will see the light and reveal the expenses to us in detail.
Otherwise, maybe Bridgeday will be held at Perrine from now on, which I have enjoyed far more and which saves me travel money.
Sleezeyhop would not be able to cash in on that one.

It would be INTERESTING to know how much money was left in the BDA bank before Avery, Dennis and Harry and their "boys" partied hard at Perrine -- and how much is left in it now...

    INTERESTING.

    RE: Holiday Inn refunds

I just wanted to say one thing about Badenhop, and to badenhop. It doesnt take 'organizers' to make a base jump. It requires an object, and a jumper, and equipment. Where was badenhop last time I made a cliff jump at Moab? NRGB requires Base jumpers, Base gear, and a permit from the NPS. We provide ourselves and our gear at our cost, the NPS provides the permit because of historical precedence and pressure from the local government and community. All the security, crowd control, boat and rescue personnel are provided by the community; they are paid for it. Take an ambulance ride and your insurance will most definately pay for it, not badenhop. The registration fee is for the BDA and its i

nterests and officers--in short, for personal gain and the advancement of badenhop and friends pet projects, like the IBPC, which is just a competition event, and does zero for basejumpers, base jumping, and non participants. I dont care about the 60.00 registration fee, but i most certainly dont care for or about Badenhop, the Ibpc, or the dishonest old boys club of the unnecessary bda. Bad people exist in the world and we have to tolerate our share of them...

    Perrine rocks!

    RE: Holiday Inn refunds

You know, people like you really piss me off. Big man but not quite big enough to use your own name, are ya, punk? You know, we're all really sorry that your registration fee represents an entire week's worth of sacking groceries for you...oh...wait...no, we're not! You dumbass, you put the bread on the bottom of the sack again! You've cost me at least that much money with your bad sacking techniques in the past six months. Will you never learn?

I know, it's a lot of money for you...you've got kids...but...how can you be expected to take care of a child if you can't even take care of one tooth?

I'll tell you what. You get hold of me and I'll give you your money but you must face me in person and publicly (i.e., here and on rec.skydiving) divulge your identity. If you truly believe that your position is correct and just and you are not a coward, that should not be difficult.

Of course, that's probably too difficult for you, isn't it. Here's another option...remain anonymous and get a post office box and send me the address and I'll send you a tampon because all I'm hearing from you is wah, wah, wah, me and my sore paid $60.00 and didn't get to flail off the bridge pus$y...hell, I might even send you two, I can probably afford it.

Even if you don't like those options, just let those folks at the Perrine know that you are the person who spews this crap on the BASE board; see how many friends that gets ya.

Are you getting the distinct impression that I have no respect for anyone who is unwilling to put their name to their words?

You are a little, frightened shell of a man.

MICK! Sorry brother. I know you'd like to keep the board a civil place and all...some things just make me turn green and rip through my clothing...feel free to delete my posts as you see fit.

    Keith
