    Torsosuit

    Hi there everybody!
Has anybody heard of the new torso-suit? Its supposed to minimize the freefall and allows you to get very good visuals as you will fall very close to the wall in an inverted boxman position.
Where can I get this extreme suit?
Would like to take it to Norway this summer.

    1-Minimise Freefall?????

    2-Inverted Boxman????

3-Fall very close to the wall????

Sounds like a very "attractive thing to be marketing.
1-we want more freefall, not less.
2-inverted boxman would be less stable - our inexperienced jumpers DO NOT need this.
3-close to the wall? More fatalities here we come. BTW - you don't need a special suit to get closer to the wall. Try big balls or a bad body position instead.

I must have this suit.... Now only if they made one with handles on it... big plush handles that look like tampons. That way my friends could hold me.

Also, does anyone know where I could find a leather hat that I colud wear in order to resemble a giant phallus? I think it would really complete my ensemble.

    All this sounds great!
But where can I get this suit?
Is it true that you can get it in ZP german swein leather?

    RE: Torsosuit

"we" are most people who want to fly our bodies forever. We want to satify our childhood dream - participating in the purest form of flight. Just your body, gravity, and mother nature.

If you want to minimise freefall - try a hop'n'pop from 200ft.

An inverted boxman IS, by definition, "back down". It is NOT the recommended position for deploying a canopy.

Facing the wall at No.7 huh. Well, you have in the order of 20secs to get off and turn 180. Don't need a suit for that.

    Have Fun ;-) ;-) ;-)

    RE: Torsosuit

Hmm, maybe you should try "me" instead of "we"...
Not all people out there wants to fly their bodies for ever and regarding the "purest form" this IS the purest form man :D

A hopīnīpop isnt the same att all + its realy dangerous to deploy subterminal, you dont have the right speed as you very well know !!!

I know that inverted boxman is "back down" and that is why the inexperienced jumper dont have to worry about it, he is SUPPOSED to get in that position by front or backloop, this is great for students and I intend to teach this to every newcomer that comes to me for edvice.

And for freefalltime from Nr7 you got about 12 secs to impact WITHOUT the Torsosuit and I recomend not more than 5 or 6 secs for beginers, I once pulled an 8 :7

As for the material, I know you can get it in ZP but I dont know about lether.

David - you are either a fisherman (troll) or intellectually challenged. 12 seconds to impact without a suit off no.7 huh????? I have heard rumours of people just nudging that 12 second mark - oh , perhaps, maybe, 20 to 23 seconds without a suit.

Good Luck with the suit... Even better luck with your freefall and net trolling abilities..

    RE: Torsosuit

Maybe you're the troll here but it actually is about 12 secs to impact at exit 7. You can get 20-23 when tracking but if you fall straight down you'll hit the wall after 12.

#615 - please read the above comment by Mr Mello. Whatever way you read it, it gives a freefall maximum of 12 secs - he does not mention tracking. Now as far as LP7 is concerned, 12 seconds to impact if you fall straight down, less if you backslide, more if you track. You can scrape down the wall for a full 22 seconds (if you have the skill or luck). I am still not excited by this suit. Is there a link anywhere.

    RE: Torsosuit

    Thanks David!

I have already ordered it. I am not an experienced basejumper(only 3jumps). With this suit I finally will feel safe.
Now I finally can do the Norway base tour, Kjerag, the romsdal with the Trollwall. My dreams will come true.
    Thanks

    RE: Torsosuit

    Good for you Stanley :-)

I am heading for Norway this spring, maybe we can do some "TorsoJumps" together from the TrollWall, I hear that its a walk in the park, you can do it in broad daylight without any risk of getting caught by the local rangers! At least thats what I hear :7

Of course if you only got 3 jumps(I have at least 30 myself) we should do some practicejumps from a nearby 1000 foot-antenna, its good for 3sec-delays

    See you there
