Was wondering if the multi contributes to bad heading performance in the event of an orbiting PC?
My theory is that it could do as during the orbit it can pull on one side of the canopy and thus will have greater leverage for turning it.

Paul,
With your flying swastika style body position you're going to be off heading no matter what your gear does :-)
Craig
Wait a minute? How's he flying? Is that anything like an accident victim? Or is that more like one of those "Walk like an Egyptian" Ladies?
I never jumped a multi but it does sound like a possibility? Keep checking and stay safe?
Space - do you have any views on this??
The question is flawed and therefore answer could be misleading...If the answer was yes, then one could surmise to jump an orbiter and think it's okay as long as not having a multi..If the answer was No,
then one could surmise to jump an orbiter with multi..
cya,
take care,
space..

OK the question is flawed.
How about: Is a canopy with multiple attachment points more heading sensitive to an orbiting pilot chute than a canopy without multiple attachment points? thanks.
I don´t think so.. because the turning is not during line stretch but during line extraction, and the multi acts like a single attachment point (lacking significant spanwise spread) during this stage except for the fact that it decelerates the center 3 cells at the attachment point instead of the single..The canopy normally is not open at this time unless there was insufficent strength in the lockingstows--
Make sense?

So does the multi make any sense to you at all? It seems no. I don't have one, so I don't have any experience with it.
Cya, Obi
the multi is designed for those who are not satisfied with the uni. if you are uni-satisfied then I recommend you put the multi out of your bean. otherwise the stress of it all will trip you out and make you wonder what all the fuss is about. I wonder that alot when my boss complains about how much i fart. smells good to me!!
