Cheerful Greetings:

Does anyone out there have experience freefalling gnarly low objects (150-200' range)?

I'm wondering what size PC would be best for this particular madness. I've noticed that none of the big manufacturers make a PC larger than 46", and that they are all pretty much ZP.

I've heard of people using big (50" ) PC's made of F-111. What's the reasoning there? Wouldn't using F-111 defeat the purpose of having a bigger pilot chute? Why not make a 72" ZP pilot chute (heck, then you might not even need a canopy, if the object was low enough)?

Is there some point of diminishing returns for PC sizing? Has anyone done any research into it?

If anyone has any insight into this, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks,
