How do you get a BASE no.? Who needs to see the evidence? How many registered BASE jumpers are there?
Hi, still not sure of the procedure to get a number now that I have all 4 catagories?
Hi Chris. I saw your message on Baseboard. The US BASE ASSOC gives out official numbers, but it has been slow. Jean Boenish is in the process of getting me the old files both of existing numbers and pending correspondence. It will probably take another month before I get all the info so my wife and I can start sorting it to get the accurate order. If you have the 4 objects, send me the info on jumps, date and site of each of the 4 categories so we can lock in your qualifying date. If you send a self addressed stamped envelope, I'll get you your number when it is all sorted out. We have over 6 months of stuff to go through to sort out the correct order of the numbers. If you want to send me your phone number, I'll call you collect with your number. I can't send them over e-mail since our BASE ASSOC Constitution prevents me from giving anyone else access to your number. Take care, and send me the info. Hello Firefight. Myself and my wife will be issuing the numbers as soon as Jean Boenish gets all of the rest of the info to me about existing numbers and pending correspondence for the last 6 months. My address is 7316 Houston Drive, Hitchcock, TX. 77563. Send me info about the 4 qualifying jumps, along with dates of each jump. Send a self addressed stamped envelope and hopefully within a month or so, we'll get the info from Jean and get it all sorted out. She already sent some, but I need it all to get the accurate order. I am the Executive Director of the US BASE ASSOC. who invented the concept and word BASE back in 1981. You are free to send names of witnesses, but I work on the honor system for the most part. If something looks fishy, we'll follow up with questions, but for the most part, I trust jumpers who say that they have qualified. Take care and I look forward to hearing from you.

BASE 38.
For the sake of conversation. I'm considering trying to get my base number by not only jumping off the various required objects, but by doing so in my state. This is an antenna state so that is not a problem, but for the other three objects, they may require D-Bag or static line deployment. Is that allowed to get a base number? I know, odd question but interesting.
