Me and a friend have just been arrested for jumping the taj mahl casino in atlantic city! we have just found out that if any base jumpers are court jumping from trump property will catch a $25,000 fine and they will persue it! enless you think you have very deep pockets i would stay away !!! later

Hi All,
I call it like I see it, but in this case I must post a retraction. Per Johnny9 lives, the 3 ring circus (Sick will & Selwyn) are not too be tarred and feathered for this one. Apparently, or as I was told persona non gratta by Jonnny9, Dirty Dave contacted the circus to get the 411 on the Taj. Also per Jonny, valiantly sticking up for Will & Selwyn, Dirty Dave was informed that the Taj had been torched and that there was a new door, new security cameras, and that the heat was definitely on and NOT to jump. Im by opinion, AC is ALWAYS hot. There are always a million people there, and security is always hi. I would never bother to jump there, so whether any kind of reasonable protocol was followed there is somewhat irrelevant. I'll let you all decide whether saturday night in the summer qualifies as bad etiquette for AC, but in this case Dave seems to have made a bad decision after he was warned.
Will & Selwyn, I stand corrected, but it was still fun giving you guys sh!t. Cya at the DZ, or an exit point real soon.

I'm a firm believer in posting the full names of the offending jumpers. If there are no penalities, then this care-free attitude of some jumpers (especially new ones) will only get worse.

Isn't Johnny 9 lives down in New Orleans, now? I'd guess it would be pretty tough for him to mentor a jumper in New Jersey, then.

You know me, all of the people who have been posting know who I am. I have always stayed very neutral; but at this time, I may stand up for my friends. Selwyn and Will have gotten a bad rap from the beginning. Selwyn definitely has stepped his bounds from the beginning. He spouted when he shouldn't have had to. I think of myself as a fairly competent BASE jumper. The people that I have surrounded myself with have taught me well, and I surround myself with you. You know as well as I do, some people make bad decisions. But for someone to post that he instructed someone to do something that was less than par, is not the truth. Selwyn and Will are both very competent BASE jumpers. Selwyn may be a little boisterous at times, but always on top of his game. Lauren Rudderow is a new skydiver who is very interested in getting into BASE jumping. By no means has Selwyn ever insinuated that he is going to take her from any object. By no means is Lauren Rudderow going to jump from any object before the proper training has been had. Selwyn and Will, members of the Three Ring Circus, (ya like that, don't ya?...) are very competent in their freefall skills and canopy control. If you jumped with them, as many have, you'd know what I was talking about. As for Tree's posting, it was total hearsay, and you know how that takes off. (I've only died 12 times, and my names "Johnnie9Lives") Tree posted a retraction due to misinformation, because we all know that Dave was told not to. If he chooses to be negligent in his base skills, then so be it. He got what was coming. To think that any one of us would take someone with less than adequate BASE jumping skills - we won't do it. I, with many friends in the BASE community, have researched our equipment and ability, and continue to teach with knowledge. Don't ever believe what anyone has to say until you hear it from the source, because this is a small community, and you know as well as I do how and egg turns into an atom bomb. By the way, you probably all have heard (and if you haven't) I've openeed up adropzone 45 minutes from dowtown New Orleans. We have a fast caravan, and a Boogie in a Box. You can all check out the ad in February's Parachutist. $12 Skyvan jumps following the boogie. Please come be part of the good energy, as Tom knows that I always bring. We love all, and all we love.
