Here is part of an email from Dwain to my sister dated 9/24/03:
"I believe now ( at the old age of 30 - yes I'm not boy toy material anymore) that I understand, at a basic subconscious level, that I am mortal and I can die at any moment. Or perhaps I don't, but just think I do.... I still occasionally take extremely high risks, but this is because taking insane risk makes me feel alive and pure - just for a very small moment."
