    death video

Now that I've read your explanation of why you felt you needed to show this video, I realize that you lumped me in with the rest of the crowd of skydivers that in your words "if you can't handle it you should question why your skydiving or basejumping"(or some BS). The biggest problem I had besides the lack of respect for the dead(in my opinion), was after the fourth time rewinding an impact you narrated it with "watch closely, you can see blah blah blah blah" and then you snickered. Thats when I completely lost the idea of the "value" in watching it, and I probably took too long. So don't try to defend your actions by making others seem out of touch or naive.

No sarcasm intended, but if classification is needed then it should have been: AFF students, semi-experienced skydivers (500 jumps or less), "Sky Gods" (2000+ skydives), want to be BASE jumpers, Baby BASE jumpers (50 or less BASE jumps), BASE jumpers. I was generalizing to save time.

It was recorded that way to determine what happened.
Black humor - I guess this is how I deal with it. Unfortunately, some at the viewing were subjected to my way of dealing with it.

I know many of us have felt pain from the death of a fellow jumper etc. I was not implying naivety or out of touch ness on your part. Those jumpers who have not experienced death (of a family member, of a fellow jumper, etc.) are "out of touch or naive" because they haven't had to deal with it YET... My bad by lumping people into a certain category.

(Not to fear - I'm just about done with posting stuff on this subject because I don't have the time, the patience, or the interest to sit here anymore...But I just like to say I really like Tom and Doug's postings on the death video theory response - to me it hits home and Hank's Caylor's Carrie has some really good ideas for future "malfunction/death" videos) We live and we learn...
