hey folx,
lifted this snippet of info off of an email group I'm subscribed to. I figure the "site-naming" etiquette shouldn't apply in this particular case. Perhaps some locals could get down there and contact the new property owners about reserving this tower for our use. Hell who knows... maybe you could work some kinda deal with the new owners?

I have a 300 foot angle tower, 5 foot face,
32 miles outside of St. Louis that I am about
to collapse. The hard way.
Anyone want it before I do? Yours for the
taking, but it has to go quick. One person has
expressed interest, but they most likely will not
want it since I verified it was angle.
The tower is in excellent shape, but the people who
just bought the land to build a house don't seem to
see the thrill in having their own tower.
Any thoughts on the best way to make it fall? I
considered tightning two of the guy wire anchors,
and letting the third set be dynamited.....

Who knows... maybe it would pan out. Judging from the responses some of the tower folks posted in reply to this message - they're foaming at the mouth to watch it come down. Better get out there and rescue that object before they get their hands on it!
Good luck and lemme know if anything comes of it. I'll post a response to the email list and see what they think about our participation in this little demolition... if only for ####z n gigglez...
later,
Gardner
