    RE: Eric R. Davis

I personally only had the chance to meet and jump with Eric once... High profile "B"on a Friday night in January...Great fun was had by all... I'm sorry that I did not meet him sooner and have the chance to get to know him as well as you, 570, as I'm sure I would have many more great memories to reflect on...Although I know that nothing said will lift this terrible grief, I send my condolences to his friends and family, and can only hope that time will heal all that have been affected by his early departure...Fly on Eric...

Goodbye my brother. You'll be missed by all who knew you. You were one of the nicest guys I ever had the pleasure to jump with, and one of the most naturally gifted ones. I'll carry those memories with me and cherish them for the rest of my life. The tall towers in N.C. will not be the same without you. Thank you for the jumps we shared, and I hope to fly with you again in the next world.

    Respectfully
    Mike

    This was shocking news.
This fine guy's tragedy is a great loss to all of us who knew him.
He was a great skydiver as well as BASE jumper.......and a friend.

Thank you for mentoring me, for the jumpsuit, for the laughs and the memories over the past 4 years. I will miss you tremendously. You were on my 1st jump and my 100th. I regret that we will only be able to share one more jump together, the one in which only your memory and I will journey together. You have shown me a passion for life and knowledge that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

    Blue skies brother.

My friend you will be missed.
Your love for life was infectious. Your thirst for knowledge was inspiring. I was constantly amazed by your sheer natural talent, it was almost as if you were born to fly. I have so many great BASE stories and memories because of you, and I thank you for that. I am priveledged to have known you and to have been your friend, you were truly one of a kind.
My heart is heavy with sadness and grief right now; I know that this will pass with time, but the impression you have made upon me will not.
Fly free my brother, fly free.
