    Northern California Elevator

So, I stopped by today during the day, talked to some of the local residents, and checked it out.

We are screwing this up. We all need to change the way we access the tower. There is a BASE access trail through the weeds, the fence is practically ripped open, and the local residents know exactly what is going on, and where the jumpers park. We need to change where we park and stop creating a trail (the keys open the front gate-- please stay on the road).

Here's the deal. I will give a set of keys to every crew (I know of at least five) that jumps the tower and is willing to agree to do so in a low profile manner. I'm calling everyone I can think of who jumps the tower to spread the word. If we all work to minimize our impact (by walking in through the gate, for example, so we don't create a trail), we can keep this object for a long time.

I think we're all grown up enough that we can agree to preserve this shared resource. Let's work on doing this together, and we can all ride the elevator for a long time.

If you are jumping this tower, please call (530 219-0648) or email (tbaiello@mac.com) me. I know that some of the big users don't like me personally. Let's put aside our differences and save our access.

    Yeah Tom,

Save this precious resource by posting on a world wide internet site - visited by who know who - detailed information about a site. And to think that you believe you already have the telephone number for each person or group of people who jumps this site. Did you knock your brain in the last injury you sustained - that would mean your brain is in your ass?

    Not too bright Tom...

    JJ

In case your not up on the local scene; everybody already has a key; they got it the same way you got it. And the locals have known this thing is being jumped for the last 20 years.

You don't need a key. You just pull up on access handle.

You do need a key to go through the gate--and stop leaving a trail. That's the whole point here. Minimum impact, maximum access.

Tom's right, if eveyone knew exactly how to dial in that place the right way we all would have a much more invisible impact there.

    Well,
Since the word is out to all. Lets just all comit to doing the right things with regard to this site.
Think long term preservation, plan your evening to every detail.
Have procedures thought out (in advance) in the event of unusual circumstances.
Do Not Contribute to the Path!
Plan on getting the hell out before even the hint of twilight.
Make sure you have left no trace when you leave!
    Lets have some fun.
    cheers

    Julie,

Whoever you are, your a complete idoit! Why post more specifics?

And can't you comprehend Tom's point here? Taking care of the object will give everyone MORE access. Don't you like to jump?

Sounds to me like you need 7 inches of attitude adjustment!

Tom, are you back on the warpath? 'Sick load?"
SOunds like you made some low, low reentry. Well done, hope the new suit worked out for you.

Things in this neck of the woods are great, I've almost cut away once or twice but backed out, far to committed at this point. Hey, when are you off anyway?

HOpe that tower load went better than the walk off pop bottle, thanks for that by the way.
