    less talking, more jumping...

OK. so, from what I have read in response to my posts, some people want me to shut up.
    SO I WILL!
    but take your own advice.
If you have nothing constructive to say, other than telling me I am going to die (someday I bet..)
    SHUT UP!!!!!!
I am shutting up, and jumping. #90, and #91 were virgin sites, in a new town. I contacted the local, (and actually took him on a jump), and had tons of fun!!!
#91 was my E. 215 feet, into 40 some degree water. a 40 meter swim dragging canopy is no easy feat, much less fun in 40 some degree water.
BUT, I am still alive. the sorcerer is treating me quite well, and I like the back-up reserve option.
if I go in, all my handles will be pulled.
time to get "ďnspired" for jump #92. which will be a 1200 foot A. SOLO of course. noone wants to jump with me. boo hoo.......crying, but only cause I burned myself with my smoke.
    Cheers,
    Thomas

Tokemon, the clfff you jumped was not a virgin site. That cliff has seen, many many jumps. Making practice jumps with your new jumping Buddy Robin Hied, Congratulations, you two should fare pretty well at this year's Bridge Day Competition.

Nice job finding this site on your own -- it's always a rewarding experience to find something and then jump it on your own. But for the record, that site was first jumped by #240 in 1992.

Most modern-day BASE jumpers opt for a modern-day BASE specific single canopy system. Much more simple so less problems to arise. You may want to look into this as it will be worth your while.

    Happy Jumping!

    she felt like a virgin

for those of you who want to tell me that someone else has jumped **THIS** cliff, go for it. I won't believe you though. I don't name sites, and will not even name a state. but, seeing as there WERE (until tokemon got there) NO other jumpers in this city, or around the area, I'm pretty sure it is not a favorite local site.
And as far as acceptability of this site......WHEW that's a tough one. it's a one shot deal, and I'll only do it once. EVERYTHING must go PERFECT, or you end up in the hospital. 180's CANNOT be corrected on this bad boy. maybe you might turn 90 degrees before hitting the talus. I knew this, and accepted this as jump conditions.
and I was thinking BLACK DEATH when in freefall. I was thinking :
"This is it, and I'm about to splat!"
McConkey does cool stuff with his canopy launches, but I do not consider them BASE jumps. I consider a BASE jump when you start with a rig PACKED, and FREEFALL to deploy it. static lines are a tricky puzzle, and I don't know what to call them yet. maybe rope jumps????
I have a buddy pushing right on the heels of
Dan-O. going big, going fast, and going hard. he does a 100 foot bridge rappel, and pulls up about 60-70 feet of slack before tyeing in his figure 8 braking device. I'm only up to 30, but when the camera rolls, I may go bigger. BASE is distracting me away from the ropes for now though.
am I still talking????? cause I sure don't listen much.
    Peace out,
    Tokin' Thomas

RE: she felt like a virgin

First and foremost, you'll never have the tenacity or class that Dan-o had. And heck, your only up to 60 - 70 ft??? Go out and rip a 900 footer and then we'll talk!
