    Back to AM antenna

I would like to know anything and everything about AM antennas. Can they be jumped without risk of becoming fried? A few AM antennas are going up in my area and I need to know the facts.

    RE: Back to AM antenna

I gave up AM antennas a while back, after my first, and only experience on one. I was so nauseated by the time I got to the top, that I basically just jumped the thing to get off, then spent 20 minutes on the ground retching. Not fun, not fun at all.

I know others have jumped them regularly, but I think once was enough for me.

They can be jumped without getting fried. However, since you are basically climbing a live wire, they cannot be jumped without the risk of getting fried. I guess that's a decision for you to make.
