Schlefy died for NOTHING?

Yes, FRiends and Family of Schlefy, The persons who knew what went down have apparently seen fit to not discuss the chain of events that led to the fatal accident that took Schlefy from us.
Until those that know what happened let the BASE community know how this was possible to achieve such a normally obvious misrigging to go by unnoticed,Schlefy´s death is a total waste of a of very dynamic being. Others can make the same mistake very possibly because of lack of info from those who know!I am wordless at the moment because of the atrocious behavior of "those who know". Once again you can always hang on to your anon status.

My post was the first to ask for the grim details. Sadly there is more than meets the eye when jumping a remote site such as Courthouse. The purported rigging error is only the first in the chain of events that kills. The second is not being in touch or under the aegis of locals. There is a possibility that if first aid had been administered in a timely fashion this might not have been the tragedy that it is. The locals know the right numbers for local search and rescue. 911 doesn't cut it in the wilderness. (Even if you can see the interstate from the launch point.)

I think this episode harkens back to when the young Aussie went in off Troll Wall and nobody stepped up to publicly give an honest account. Until we know we can only speculate.

There is no parallel between the 2 (Troll and CH),
Troll is illegal, CH not. Daniel died as a result of a bad exit at Troll.
Also according to recent info I´ve received the last Brento fatality had deployed in a track and went unstable during the deployment and had multiple line twist which he was trying to clear when he struck the wall. (The first accounts were of no CC leading to the idea of a Hard opening/unconscious scenario.....)
No one has to divulge themselves, I only ask for the details of the chain of events that led to the purported findings, I find it very strange that it was purportedly known the steering line set up.... Mostly the authorities won´t let the knowledgeble inspect the gear, and on the scene is normally the only chance to check the gear before the the recovery team disconnects/cuts the gear/lines. As for firstaid, the rupture of the femoral artery is a biggie,I think that the first aider hasn´t much chance against that (What do ya think 386?).

I don't exactly recall the events following the fatality off the Troll but it was hugely confused by lack of info. People were making major assumptions and spectulating wildly.

If you see no parallels because the Troll was illegal which hindered frank discussion I would agree. There is no reason why someone hasn't come out with the straight story.

Femoral artery is a real bummer but surviveable if proper first aid is administered immediately. The aorta is another story. Wish we knew more...
