Airlock on BASE canopies

I've seen a message posted on this board, somewhere in the archive, and I'd like to know what are the results of the manufacturers tests... I'd like to know if there are good advantages...

The primary disadvantage was supposed to be difficulty collapsing the canopy on a high profile illegal jump (for fast get away). I also wonder how well such a canopy would sink, but I never heard any discussion of that.

I know that Vertigo was designing a canopy called the Shaman that would incorporate airlocks, but I believe the project died a natural death (I heard that there was some trouble with licensing the airlock technology).

I don't know if any testing was ever done or not. Maybe someone from Vertigo can enlighten us?

What about inflation/pressurization speeds? Would they only be used for slider up/long delay flickin? If that would be the case, tracking skills should negate the prospect of a wall strike, right?
