    Photos of aerials gone wrong…

Im looking for photos of aerials which have gone wrong to use in the Bridge Day Safety Seminar Slide Show.
Bad body positions, p/c, bridle or deploying canopy near legs, line twists on opening, resultant object strikes etc&

If you have any relevant photos then I would really appreciate if you could email them to me (JPG format not exceeding 200KB is preferred). Include the photographers name for credit. The photos will only be used in the BD slide show and not distributed for commercial use.

    Thanks,
    Dwain Weston

P.S. If you have any really great shots that you cant get scanned in please contact me as well.

    Photos of muti-ways gone wrong…

Add to this request photos of multi-ways gone wrong.

People dumping in each others face, collisions (bodies and canopies), gift wraps etc.

What about morgue photos, flesh scrape samples from the talus, bringing de-limbed survivors of base carnage &....

    Entertainment,educating, scaremongering...

all of the above. With DW involved I'm sure it will be interestin, with the moral of the story being "don't do what I do". Sad, but true!

happy "please wait in line" bridge day; the world is watching you

No, the moral of the story is "don't do what I do" unless you train 5 days a week one on one with a dive coach like DW does. Aerials are for athletes. If you want to do aerials safely, you have to train like an athlete.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.....

    I won't infringe on Nik's lecture...

    >What about morgue photos, flesh scrape
    >samples from the talus, bringing
    >de-limbed survivors of base carnage

I think Nik covers this in his Landings and Injury Prevention lecture. ;)

If you don't think you'll benefit from attending a lecture on Aerials and Multi-ways then simply don't attend. I won't be offended.

Perhaps you'd be happier if I addressed topics like "How to get those rotations spinning really fast for slider down deployments".

In all seriousness I intend to provide more than a scare-mongering campaign. There are some serious issues in the world of BASE in relation to aerials. Rather than just point out those problems and whine about them, it's my goal to provide knowledge to help people make better decisions about what aerials they should attempt given their current skill sets.
For example, deploying out of a backward rotation in low airspeed vs. deploying out of a forward rotation in low airspeed: the difficulties experienced and recommended techniques.
At Bridge Day (and always) I am available to answer any questions in relation to aerials and other techniques. That includes the "How to" questions.

Sure I may use scare-mongering techniques if you tell me that you want to attempt for your first aerial, a slider down quad front with no diving/gymnastics training and you have a bad neck, but I'll also try to suggest alternative solutions.

It's not my job or desire to dictate to people what they do. I'm just happy to provide information to help them make an educated decision.

    BSBD,
    Dwain Weston

    Yo !

Karen dear, i'm not sure "xxx" was informative enough. Would you mind putting together a Slide Show, similar to what Dwain's doing for aerials ? ;-)

    Love,

    Yuri.

    muti-ways gone wrong…

    411, you are a geek,
    DW has the goal insight,
Lack of info has resulted in my witnessing 2 fully extendedmultifrontloopings exploding while trying to regain stability at 250kmh within 2 meters of the place I showed them where they were gonna die. So Whattup? are you better?
I don´t respect you at the moment.
