How would you like to maybe win yourself one of two awesome Basic Research packages consisting of:
- a Basic Research BASE pilot chute!
- a Basic Research BASE logbook!
- a Basic Research sticker!
And help a fellow BASE jumper raise money for a worthy cause at the same?
Sound good? Then please, read on...
On July 24th, myself and three team-mates will be competing in the "3 Peaks Challenge". We have to summit the three tallest mountains in Britain within 24 hours (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scaffell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales). Why? Well, because they're there!
Also, because the event raises money for Action Medical Research, a charity that funds research into a number of medical areas, from diabetes to artificial joints.
Basic Research, who have for a long time been a pillar of the BASE community, offering some of the best equipment, training, and support there is, have contributed these prizes solely to support my fundraising efforts. I am not a Basic Research employee (I wish I was!) There are two packages up for grabs...
So, how might you win one of these packages?
Well, all you have to do to be entered into the prize draw is to contribute a minimum of £2.50 (approximately $4.00) into my online fundraising account (the funds are paid directly to Action Medical Research, so credit cards are fine.) For every £2.50 you contribute, you'll be entered once. (So £5.00 will buy you two entries, £7.50 will buy you three entries, and so on). The two winners will be notified on August 25th 2004.
To contribute, just go to the link below (don't forget to leave your email address in the message box, in case you win!):

So please, go ahead, help out a fellow BASE jumper, contribute to a worthy cause, and maybe win a really cool prize... you know you want to!
Oh, and also, you can laugh knowing the pain I'll be in trying to drag myself up and down Snowdon (the last mountain) in the middle of the night, with my legs still back at Ben Nevis, and my brain back at Scaffell Pike!
Thanks for reading,
