Trango

The original Trango was released in 2007 and was the first ultra-light BASE canopy on the market. Using this innovative platform, we have continued to develop and improve the design and we are proud to announce Trango 3, the latest evolution of this ground-breaking canopy. Combining the new ultra-light material and over 16 years of design, testing and manufacturing of BASE canopies, Trango 3 sets a new benchmark with its balance of safety, handling and performance. Built using a new ultra-light material and Vectran lines, Trango 3 offers a 25% reduction in pack volume and weight, with no significant reduction in canopy resistance or lifespan. When packed, the Trango 3 is the same volume as a Troll two sizes smaller, so a Trango 3 – 225 has the same packing volume as a Troll – 185.
The Trango 3 incorporates a ZP leading edge and a slow slider as a standard. As any BASE canopy gets older, the porosity of the fabric increases, which can lead to a decrease in the performance in the low speed flight regime and flare. Therefore, we have introduced a ZP leading edge on Trango 3. This modification was computer designed, and extensively tested, and the results are confirming dramatic reduction of the aging effect on the canopy, while still keeping the pack volume low. This leading edge design provides the jumper with more lift at low speeds and a more powerful flare. The Trango 3 is ideally suited for wingsuit pilots and trackers, or those just looking for a low profile rig.
