I have to disagree Phantom, the quote was completely out of context and you seemed to have used it to suggest the list only contains stupid people… The original person using that statement did not in anyway mean the way that you decided to use it….

I did it myself because it was a sentence of MINE. Anyone can say that I am an a s s h o l e/whatever, I would leave it because if that's his/her opinion, I am OK with that. I cannot stand, though, that MY words are taken to mean disrespect to our friends (whom I have got to know a number....).

Indeed, again. As I wrote in a previous post, if Phantom doesn't agree with us and didn't find the support for his BASE w.a.p.s.e., he is simply wasting his time writing here, he'd rather find a used BASE rig, suitable object, whatever, and do what he thinks it's best for him. I am NOT going to stop anybody. I am simply says "things" at the best of my/our knowledge regarding the sport of BASE. Then everybody can do whatever he/she likes better.

I'm sure like most of us, when you got into skydiving you thought you found a family, a small band of like minded people that would accept you... well bro, base is a fraction of that. An extremely small group of people, that love eachother beyond any skydivers wildest imagination. Our friends and familly before us have lost alot or everything learning what we know today. Don't ever disrespect them or their actions. and don't try to move forward without learning everything that you can from their mistakes. This sport will kill all of us if we stay in it long enough.Trick is to be smart enough to stay alive untill you quit. And don't ruffle feathers on your way in... ripples travel very far in such a small pond.
