    Radio frequencies and transmissions

Has anyone got knowledge and / or experience in radio frequencies and transmissions?

I am looking at a tower that is kicking out some signal but have no frame of reference on the damage it may or may not cause.
I don’t wish to post too much detail publicly, so please email me if you require more information to be able to help me out.
Please post any “general rules of thumb” about transmissions and radio signals that may help me decide if this is worth looking at.

    Many Thanks for any help.

    RE: Radio frequencies and transmissions

There have been a number of threads on EM (electromagnetic) radiation. Just do a search on "radiation" and you'll find several to get you started.

    Some general rules:

    Stay below the source
Don't hang around on the tower too long.
Wear an aluminum foil helmet (rent the movie "signs" for more detail)
buy underwear with lead embedded in the fabric (this will protect your nutz)
More importantly, let the tower know how completely awesome you are by doing a cool trick. The RF will bend and yeild as it passes by you.
