    Hi Biscuit --

The name of the motel that you are looking for is the "Holiday". I can't remember the street names to get there, but all you have to do is find the Hospital in Twin Falls and it is across the street and one block away. It's super cheap, especially if you get the weekly rate. (a year or two ago, the weekly rate was around $130 if I remember right)

The foreigner who owns the place seems to be found of BASE jumpers and while the place is not too bad, yo umay find seedy characters staying there from time-to-time.

Do be sure and ask for a room with a fridge as some of the rooms have them and some do not. And also be warned that it is a run-down place, but it is the cheapest place by far in Twin Falls.

    Have fun out there!

Agreed, organizing a load can be work. I had several "Old Timers" loads organized for Little Colo Gorge, just outside of Grand Canyon in 91, with Jean, Smitty, and others, but JD and Jon Bolin had their collision 2 weeks before. I had another one organized with Jean, Smitty and Phil Mayfield, BASE #s 1,2,and 3 for New River 01 that the terrorism cancelled. Maybe I'll try one more before I get too old to care, at Perrine or Brento. I like the cliffl, but Perrine is suppoesed to be cool. We were going to speak at B Day 01 and Dennis and Harry were really looking forward to it to let saome of the newbies know where we had all come from. Our sport had a pretty righthous beginning. Getting away from the politics of the DZ and back to the real reason we all started skydiving in the first place, the rush. Carl felt it and convinced newbies like Gene that it was right, so she was never really very scared. She was always fun to watch as she went off with her weak piano hinge exit with a big grin on her face while the rest of us old farts went off scared. I'll talk it up with my brother and a few others, but I think we could do Perrine or Brento and have folks know that part of the trip was to learn some about the early days of the sport and how the word BASE came to be. It's hard to explain how Carl relly was, but the community really needs to know the truth about his sobriety, pure enthusiam and his vision for what we are seeing. Take care and keep in touch.

The Weston Inn (208-733-6095), Super 8 (208-734-5801) and Motel 6 (208-734-3993) are probably your cheapest bets. The Weston Inn doesn't look like the cleanest place, but it's worth a try. Hope this helps.

I don't know what your situation is, but I just got back from there last weekend. I went for a week with a buddy and we stayed at the Comfort Inn. I highly recommend it. It was clean, had the best free breakfast in the morning (including make them yourself waffles) that I've had at ANY hotel, it had a pool and hot tub, it was within walking distance of the bridge and Outback and Chili's, and it was virtually the cheapest of the ones I found while searching the net. We got a two bed room for $67/night (there is a AAA rate that is a few bucks less if you are a member). The only thing I think that may be cheaper is the Motel Six up the road another mile or so. It was in the 30-something dollar range (for a single). But we stayed in one in SLC on the way home, and it was almost like camping compared with the Comfort Inn.

Oh yea, I was able to pack at the foot of the beds. Don't know if that is possible in a single though.

I had a great time. You boogie should be a lot of fun too!

    Good luck.
