Oh I see.....someone here at Blinc thought it was funny to dig up a 7 year-old thread and cut it into pieces to make it look like I was the author. Nice. For the record, I still think jumping from the rail is a bit selfish. Someone else pointed out in this thread years ago:

"Now, if you've been to this bridge you probably know there's a gentleman's agreement with the police: Don't distract the traffic and they won't bother us."

I haven't really followed all the "jump from the rail" threads that have showed up here lately, but it's probably still a good idea to not distract the traffic.
