    Angel Falls

    Hey,
I'm planing on being in Venezuela around the end of January/February. Any info on jumping A.F. without a guided group/organized tour would be appreciated.
I'd like to know if there is any way to get to the top with out a helicopter, how many days it would take, info on the heli, how far away the LZ is from a main road, weather, etc. Locals, please PM me.

    Thanks!

    Re: Angel Falls

Despite the fact that the angel falls are a major draw for tourists, there are few resources available to make it an easy place to visit. Going to the falls requires a flight to Canaima camp, where visitors can board small wooden boats during the rainy season, and approach the falls from below.
River trips generally take place from June to December, when the rivers are deep enough for the wooden curiaras used by the Pemon guides. During the dry season (December to March) there is less water seen than in the other months.
