WILKES-BARRE — U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr. pressed Monday for the Treasury Department to offer billions of dollars in loans to keep General Motors and Chrysler in business until a revised auto industry bailout package can be introduced in late January, after a more heavily Democratic Congress takes office and President-elect Barack Obama is sworn in.
