So I recently learned that an object that I had the pleasure of jumping no longer exists. This is my first object (that I am aware of) that no longer exists. It's kinda sad really, but since it was a crane, I know it will be jumpabale again, just somewhere new. Anyone got any good stories to share about objects they jumped that are not around any more?
locals only tower in deland... came down in a tornado last year, im sure there are lots who've been there...
locals2 has been rebuilt on the same footers...
and of course every crane thats ever been jumped ever...
ive had two of those here at home..
I was particularly bummed out when they demolished the Murray smokestack in Utah.
Fun jumps and good memories. Felt like such a waste when they brought it down.
Yeah I guess its short sited of us to think some of these man made objects will be around for awhile. Here in the frezhole area a sweet group of antennas where recently torn down, because a group of citizens decided that they were a blight, and hurt the property value of the nearby homes. They were across the street from a starshmucks and a me and ed's pizza. It was nice to have a tripple shot of espresso before the jump (seemed to make the climb go faster), and had I know they were in danger of being removed I would have jumped them more.
