Cool Fast CWY (Fast Carry With You)

    Hello there.
It was quite some time I was thinking about this idea, when last month (or so) I came with the (first) prototype of this very nice tool. I have already done 2 jumps with this tool and I am very happy about it.
The general measures and the general working principle is exactly as per "standard" CWY used in SL jumps, being the only "negative" issue about "standard" CWY that sometimes exit point setup is not easy/comfortable for tieing a knot with break cord, moreover sometimes it gets really dark upthere (and it's NOTconvenient to light a torch ), so came the idea of a "FAST" version of CWY.
With fast CWY you do you work at home (loops of break cord, tieing surgeon knots very precisely, etc etc), then, when you are on exit point ready to jump, you simply open up the small carabineer (on main loop), pass the longer piece of main brach around anchor point and then back again nto the small carabineer. In 5 seconds you are really ready to jump.
Hope photos are self-explanatory, just in case, I want to inform you that it is not forbidden to ask questions, and there is also a possibility that I can answer to those questions

looks good....does it work with the pilot chute still on the bridle?Or is this one of those scary systems that you use without a PC.

Just a suggestion would a rapide link (like the one that holds your lines to your risers) be a lighter option or would that make it too fiddly on the exit point.

The fast CWY is simply a tool by which you do a SL jump without leaving traces on object and you do the final rigging in 5 seconds.
If you want to use a PC as back up or you don't want to use a PC is just up to you: personally, I ALWAYS use a huge 48" ZP PC as back up (I do not see any negative, only positive ones).

You could use a rapid link but:
    1) a rapid link is NOT a lighter option (the small carabineer is really SMALL (despite my large close up photo), same length as rapid link (and same weight (I guess)): this is a small carabineer I find in a maritime accessories shop and at its opening/closing edges it has got smooth edges (different from other similar small carabineers) so it does not damage CWY branches/loops
    2) the small carabineer (at its narrower side) has got a closed ring where there is a sewn loop that keeps it attached the rest of the system (you CANNOT loose it); a rapid link could: 2.1) damage loop of fast CWY because it has got razor sharp edges; 2.2) in a night environment you could loose it because when open it can slide off the system.
With my setup of fast CWY you simply cannot lose any part of the system (I thought about this matter mainly working in totally dark environments)

Looks good! I built a similar setup a while back, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. (My new gear just arrived last week )

I went with the rapide link because it was a small, familiar piece of hardware and once it is closed, it's closed - I felt it was less likely to open up and release, or snag parts of the object or my gear.

Does anyone know if they make a carabiner that size with locking capability?
