yes. There's at least 2 of us that will be there from the 8-22nd of june. We will probably only do a few heli loads, if any at all, as they are quite expensive. So don't worry, there'll be people to hike with!

I know that ryanair travels Standsted to Haugesund. from Haugesund you can take a bus that goes directly to the ferry terminal in Stavanger. The bus ride is about 2 hours, if you show your Ryanair ticket to the driver you get a 25% discount... I think thats one of the cheapest ways to get to Stavanger at the moment... Also check out the local Norwegian airline: www.norwegian.no

There will be people to hike with at the boogie so I would'nt worry about that, there were some people hiking last year anyway... :-)

    Re: Norway Base Boogie

Last summer, I took the Ryanair flight from Stansted to Haugesund, but I found that the flight arrive too late to reach in time the ferry boat in Stavanger...
So, you have to stay one night in Stavanger and then take the ferry on the next morning...
this could be good also because you need to have time to buy some food in Stavanger, since the food availability is one of the major issues in Kjerag...

P.S.: Jupija, check your PM !!!

It looks like the bus leaves 2 times a day, you can also go by boat or train but thats more expencive... If you have the date and time of your arrival I can help you find the right bus, its easier when you can read norwegian.. ;-) Or, you can e-mail the bus company yourself on this address: post@kystbussen.no

I'll be making my first trip to Norway, via Jackson, Mississippi. I plan to fly into Stavanger on/about June 14th or 15th. Anyone traveling around this time - I'd appreciate hooking up with someone familiar with the area.
