    Question mad cow disease?

started last year with jumpin,i did a couple of S,lots of E's, some others
    and in january the B.
    50 jumps in total.
so i have BSE now, also known as mad cow disease......
now i'm looking for someone who can help me to get the A, to go out of this sickness and to qualify for the number.
i'm looking for an antenna, not to far from an international airport in europe.
as far as i know, there is no jumpable antenna around here.
the plan is to do a weekend-trip,to catch a cheap flight from zurich to
    wherever the A stands.
an antenna who is still jumpable if the conditions are poor when i do the trip would be best.
    any ideeas?
in exchange i can show you some cool objects on your next switzerland-trip.
please help me to become a complete BASE-jumper.

ok, i know, BSE is fatal and not curable but it's worth to try.....

I think that there is some slider down antenna near Budimpesta. Maybe some Hungarians can help you.

I can suggest a couple of realistic options to get your A but none are guaranteed if the weather is totally rubbish. Obviously the most likely option to bag it in less than ideal conditions, is a freestander with landing area on all sides, which means you're usually in the 180ft to 350ft range. The bottom end of that range and it might not be such a good idea if you want to avoid a fast down wind landing. You could try contacting the belgians who could probably help you out and it wouldn't even require a flight, or you could come to the UK where I know we will be able to assist (weather permitting).

Post on the uk forum with proposed dates and i'm sure you'll not struggle to get a few offers to suit.

It would be an appropriate visit cos we invented Mad cow disease. Apparently it was due to the stress from all those base canopies opening over their fields.

or PM me if you like.

One Team Crank member to another after jumping an 'S' in Belgium where cows are grazing in the field below: 'Did you see those cows in freefall?'
Other Team Crank members answers: 'I didn't know cows were into BASEjumping, do they go 'hoof held?'...

Definetely contact the Belgies. I lived there for a year and regularly jumped an antennae-summer, spring, winter and autum. Nicely "overhung" so you can jump it in the rain and 30 knot winds, (right D-d, T.A) :-)

    airport? cph?

the only antenna around here who would be jumpable is a 220m medium-wave 600kw tower. 600kw scares me a bit.....they shut the power down by the end of 2007....
other antennas i know stand on top of mountains, surrounded by forest.
or have a smooth concrete foundation, ladder inside and no way in.
i really tried to find one, really not easy in this country.
but we have lots of nice other objects .

btw faber: there is absolutely no fat on my belly forcing my canopy in to linetwists .but you are right:slider off is saver if you own a ace.....

thanks guys for giving me many options,i will visit at least one of you soon

    ian,what's up?(no hurry )
