    Question Differential Stow

    Hi,

in http://www.crmojo.com/adobepdf/diffstow.pdf CRMojo talks about putting the C, D and steering lines into the primary stow band to encourage nose first inflation.

Both my FJC courses taught me to stow all lines in there. From this post http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/foru...20stow;#732747 I understand that the tailgate has replaced the differential stow as the best way to improve nose-first inflation.

Why did we leave the primary stow band on the tailpocket, and why did we start stowing all lines in there instead?

    Thanks,

    Jaap suter

    Re: Differential Stow

The primary stow band still serves to stage the inflation. It's better if your canopy reaches line stretch before it starts to inflate (because then you don't sling a bunch of loose lines around, and potentially cause a tension knot), and the stow promotes this.
