Guys,
This political rubbish is getting ridiculous to the point of becoming annoying and the blame lies with everyone on both sides. Just accept that you don't particularly like each other and leave it as that!

I love the comps the IPBC runs. I love reading Robin Heid's articles in Skydiving.
But sometimes, I'm downright embarrased to be an American BASE jumper, especially a California BASE jumper.
I pledge never to add to any thread which has devolved into (or started as) a political shouting match. If we all do that, any such thread will quickly vanish off the bottom of the board.

They might as well be arguing the Crimean wars. It's all ancient history now. The only thing at stake is their honor and reputation. All the parties have the respect of their supporters and the distain of their detractors. We're all hoping their debate will fizzle and DIE.
Hear, Hear!
Y'know, a rough word count on _JUST_ the 'Napoleon' thread indicates about 3500 words written and something approaching 20,000 characters typed.
If there were some way that we could harness all of the anger, emotion and general bickering amongst ourselves and redirect the focus of all of this negative energy in the direction of our battle(s) with the NPS, then we could surely win sooner rather than later.
Please, ladies and gentlemen, let's change focus. I think this has been beaten beyond pulp - you're approaching the realm of subatomic particle pulp. The rumor, misinformation, drama and mayhem has gotten old; nobody seems to care anymore (if they ever did to start with?). Drop it and channel your energy to productive work. Please see the 'Interesting web pages on BASE jumping' thread that Mick posted at:

Anyone want to start a team to work on "The Gambalie Factor" Internet WebQuest presented therein? I think we'd be surprised at the usefulness of the finished product.
