I would like to thank the IPBC, organizers of the KL Tower and Alor Satar event. I have been working with Avery for three years providing t-shirts for the IPBC events. Having really not met Avery we conducted business over the internet. All my dealing with Avery have been very positive. After numerous invites to these events I finally had the opportunity to attend the KL Tower 2002 event put on by the IPBC. The event was outstanding. We were accepted by the Malasians with big smiles and open arms. It was truel a magical country to visit.
Both towers had a unique attraction. The winds and knarley landing areas kept the jumpers on their toes, and the jumpers conducted themselves with ecceptional disipline resulting in zero injuries. After dinner and presentations fron the Queen of Malasia we headed back to Kuala Lumur for dinner with the mayor of KL. This initself was a very special greetibg. The mayor and his collegues delivered speaches. The dinner and the dancers were breathtaking!!
The follwoing morning off we all went for a day of jumping off the KL Tower. Midday right after the demo 30 jumpers did for the mayor and dignitairies we had tea, lunch and presentation to the jumpers we headed back up for more fun.
One of the jumpers was injuried and jumping was put on hold till the jumper was attended to. I tip my hat to Tom Aiello who gave up his day of jumping to help his fellow jumper. Also the running aroung he did and probably is still doing to help his buddy out.
So to all you people who have not had this opportunity to attend such an event put on by thr IPBC, try it, it just may be the most fun you ever had!! I have read nimerous posting on the BS Board of people slamming the IPBC. Trust me the work these guys put into these events is enourmous. These guys di this for YOU not them. I am sure they don't make a dime after all the bills are paid. So next time you want to SLAM them think twice!!These guys worked from dusk till dawn putting this and preparing for future events.
A special thank you to Dennis McGlynn, Avery Badenhop and Harry Parker for this event. Also to all the people behing the scenes who spent hour of work. As well the Malasians who made this happen in conjuntion with Martin Dumas in 1999. I look forward to attending more IPBC avents and jumping with all of you again. Untill then bee safe and see you at the exit point.
