    Sony IP-55 camcorder

Anyone familiar with the IP-55 digital camcorder? Any problems or comments? Ive got the opportunity to pick one up cheap. Apparently a fairly recent addition to the sony line, Im not familiar with this camcorder or how well adapted it is for Base/Skydiving applications. Thanks.

    RE: Sony IP-55 camcorder

I dont know IP-55 but thouse IP cameras we have here has the Rec. button on the rigth side of the camera, meaning youŽll need to place it on your rigth side of helmet to use it(unless you have a remote).the digi tapes are smaller than normal digi tapes, meaning more expencive,i have heard about problems if you want to dub from an IP camera to a PC camera(or other whith normal size tape).
Again i dont know IP-55,but tjeck these things first;)

    Thanks for the input

Thanks for the link, faber; appreciate the help. Dana, if youre married to a basejumper Im afraid that makes you his lower half not his better half, unless youve taken to jumping with him. Hope Rod's been keeping out of trouble, but who knows what he and tom have been cooking up, huh? Im coming through as soon as I can, Im all 48 and canada so it involves some driving...

    >knows what he and tom have been cooking up,

Not to be confused with Tom, the "primary" jumper.

    Wuzz up Denpar?

Come on down. I think we'll be doing the 1800' next time you are down.

Dana, you're an idiot. You only love me for my motorcycle. Well, that and my big #$%@!....

    Later,
