Getting back to the original subject, as of 4/3 the offending ledge/step has been removed. Still don't know who put it there but I know who took it down. Wasn't me either.

To put this to rest.

The individual who placed the diving board contacted me and told his story and offered to remove it.

He had a good reason... However, I live by the adage: "always a reason-never an excuse".

The board's gone, he sees now how his actions may have had a negative effect on the access to that object--no harm done. End of story.

personally, next time I am up there, if I see another BASE jumper on the steel, I am gonna punch him in the face, on the assumption that it MAY be the person in question. This also includes anyone I may have driven up there with that is on the load with me. You never know....
