So it would seem that someone has bolted an appendage to Greenie. A "diamond plate" piece of steel several feet wide and deep. Not only is it structurally questionable from a jumper's standpoint, it represents a major violation of this object. When (not if) the bridge engineers find this they will go bezerk.
Drilling holes and bolting things onto thier structure is exactly the kind of thing that will precipitate razor wire etc.
Everybody knows that bridge gets jumped and the authorities have something of hands-off approach to enforcement.
However, jumpers modifying the thing is good cause for a swift response. Tampering with a state bridge is very different from jumping it. Especially post 9/11.
This isn't about who should jump, what time of day they should jump, should they go from the road or not. That stuff is trivial in comparison to the magnitude of what we are talking about here.
Messing with the object is not about getting busted or being seen, it's about losing access. period!
