Hey, how come nobody flys into Boise? It's only like two hours from TF. Seems like everyone I talk to flys in Salt Lake

I flew into Boise last week. I think many folks fly into SLC because the deals are generally better.
George?
You are lying!
You were at the pottery barn last week.
What airline did you fly? I know that right now the deals will be crap into Boise but I'll deal with that for a couple hours less of a drive....
Last year I flew into salt lake and took a turbo prop into twin falls, but this year I'm flying into boise for a price $200.00 cheaper than last year.
we got our tickets on HOTWIRE.COM this year.
they undercut everyone we tried.

Alaska/Horizon. ~$250 RT San Jose to Boise. Booked two weeks in advance.

Gork, you Pottery Barn slut.
I'll bet your mom made you post.
i used a sledgehammer on your mom
Hey how did you transport your rig? Did Horizon let you carry it on? What is it like getting through security with gear these days?
Or should I just get some "action-packer" thing and check the friggin thing?
I carried my rig on in a soft suitcase on the way up and in a stash bag on the way down. In neither case did the security folks bat an eye at my rig though they were very interested in my whisky flask for some reason. So, carry your rig on, check the flask through!
One note: The overhead bins on the planes I was on are very small.

If you want to know why so many people fly to and from SLC it is because it is cheaper, on any good airline that is. Trust me on this. I fly out of there all the time.
