I'll leave all the technical aspects of the launch to your FJC instructors, but I do have some input for what I consider to be one of the most magical moments of BASE -- standing on the edge.
Most likely, your mind will be cluttered with all kinds of thoughts. Some of it will be focus, some of it will be fear. Either way, stop for a moment and look ALL around you. Savor the moment because it's electrifying!
It's hard to translate it into words, but when your commited and on the edge, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
