I'm not sure about the rest. I think I'd put Slim in there somewhere, and The Little Aussie would probably make my list in multiple categories.

I think a more interesting Hall of Fame might be the top 10 jumps of all time.

I'd nominate:

A double gainer thrown from under 180 ft by some long haired pretty boy from Oz.

Out tracking the talus at Smellvegan, also by an Aussie.

Anyone got any others?

Geez Tom! :9 Can you see anything up there in Dwain's ass? There ARE other people doing aerials, and other people doing remarkable jumps. We KNOW about the Aussie. Give us numbers 2 thru 10 in these categories. He's old news.

There definitely are others out there. And in my opinion, the best base jumpers in most of these categories are not names that typically appear on the base board. The nominations thus far are evidence to me that the base board scene is but a very small pod within the worldwide base community. In the U.S., there are many individuals quietly pushing the current boundaries of the sport. Innovating not for recognition or status, but for a pure love of base. And in France, the average skill level is much above that of the rest of the world.

Although he is skilled, this "little aussie" just happens to be a more aggressive self promoter than most others. This is not a slam, just a fact.

What about a category for the best base jumper that most people have never heard of? Sounds like an oxymoron I know, but do a little research, ask around, and you might learn about some other aspects within this sport.

I'm surprised Zoo hasn't been mentioned yet. Probably the most experienced jumper in the world and opened most of the sites in France that people take for granted now.

just a few names who come to mind that have not been mentioned,
Phil Smith, the Harrison brothers Rick and Randy, Mark Hewitt, Rick Payne, Rich Stein, Mike Allen, Allen Heatheington, John Hoover, JD walker

without these guys and what they did and gave there would be no BASE Jumping as we know it today. these are just the few that came to mind right off. let us not forget where we really came from.
