In 1981, when Carl Boenish started these BASE numbers, I thought for sure by now we'd be over 10,000. However, in that time I've learned something different.

It's not that easy . . .

And that's what makes it a number, that in certain company, should make you very proud.

After all, *No Fear* has been selling those stupid tee shirts for 15-years now, but it takes a special person to do more than just wear a tee shirt.

There are only a certain amount of people in this life that are willing to lay it all on rag, string and savvy, and you are one.

You are the pointy tip of the BASE spear, and you'll be a brother always . . .

My favorite climbing tee shirt says: "Scared Shitless: It's easy to be brave from a safe distance."

I've always thought that if you really thought you had "No Fear" you just weren't getting out enough.
