Please call dispatch when jumping....that legal span we like
If you are jumping alone, please call.
If you are in a group, have one person make the call.
If you see other jumpers, ask them if they have called.
If the other jumpers haven't called, please do so yourself.
The communication of when we are jumping helps to keep the officers from a wild goose chase.
I had not done this 2 weeks ago, and the sheriffs came out to check, and were happy to see me alive.
They didn't have to go search for a body.

I met some jumpers today, and noone had called the sheriff to tell them about BASE jumping activities. Unacceptable. It's Miles or JT's bridge, and I wonder if they call when they jump? Let's just call once a day if someone has a parachute they are jumping with. If they get a call about a person who jumped off the bridge, they don't KNOW if there was a parachute or not. And then they have to follow up on the call. Let's help them know when they don't have to come out to check on a possible "jumper".
