Hi everyone - i will fill you in on myself before i get to the point, just so you know where im coming from....
Im called Andrew French (nice to meet you all!) and im a student in England.... im into sport, im a keen and well experienced skier and windsurfer and i love the rush. i also love the feeling of falling - i often dream about it
after reading some bits and bobs on sky diving and BASE im keen to do a tandem skydive here in the uk to see how i like it. i can pretty much safely say i will be addicted to it (im like that) and i will probably go to europe one summer to do courses so i can jump solo. that may be enough for me - who knows. the idea of really pushing things to the limit thrills me, so i would like to take this opportunity to say that i not only respect the people who jump BASE, but i really want to experience the feeling of life (thats how i perceive it - please correct me) after a successful landing. conquering the E of BASE particularly intruiges me, jumping off a cliff in the swiss alps for instance. wow - what better way to see the world! i imagine that even one BASE jump would completely change my outlook on life and i just think life is too short to not even try to experience what i can only think to be the ultimate adrenaline rush.
obviously im not saying "hi, how do i go about learning to BASE jump?" im really saying "wow what a sport. id love one day to share your experiences..."
i have a couple of questions - has it changed your perspective on life (and how)?
and what made you get into it?
im really fascinated about this seemingly impossible and exclusive way of life
