A mesh slider sounds like the way to go but my concern all along about a mesh slider is that this particular canopy has always opened fairly fast is my opinion. Generally fully inflated between 500 to 600 feet max. I was afraid that a mesh slider might be a broken neck in the making.
So. Here is another thought I stole from road racing my Two stroke motorcycle. What if one were to cover the bottom of the mesh slider with a item (such as two inch wide masking tape, realitive weak and easy to tear) and then could remove sections of tape until the desired rate of descent was acheived. This could be done is just a matter of a few jumps. I could then have a rigger or base company special make a slider using my tempoary slider as a template.
What else might you suggest other than masking tape. What about just a sheet of printer paper and small amount of tape.

Disclaimer: I'm not a rigger nor do I claim to be some kind of skydiving gurro. I just want to go way low without screwing myself into the ground.
