*** Sounds scary dosn't it? ***

This message is by no means geared as a threatening message or to put blame on any one person or organization.
The blame sitts on BASE Jumpers as a whole. This includes me and everyone else.

The time to stop being stupid, headstrong, careless, and blissfully ignorant is now!

I have been putting things together for over a year now.
The CJAA has been working since 1995.
The NBF has been working since 1997 or there about.
The ABA has been hurding cats just as all the other organizations have.

To continue, we need to do whatever it takes to keep the legal sites we have, legal.

The free spirited sport of BASE jumping needs to face reality. To continue to educate new jumpers, we need safe legal sites. To continue to evolve as a sport, we need legal sites that we can go to and focus on those limits, not legality.

This year it was Arco being banned.
Next year Norway.
Then Bridge Day.
Then the Perrine.
Then Moab.
Then Switzerland.
Then More areas in France.
Then Angel Falls....
What then?????????????????????

We haven't tried doing things the right way yet. We just want to be free spirits doing whatever comes to mind. We are all teachers when we put a rig on and say "Watch me, I going to BASE-jump". We have to be more responsible for our actions and hope that in doing so, we can save lives, prevent injuries and in doing so, retain site access.


There are very few people that are trying to help better the internal sport of BASE jumping( in comparrison to the total number of BASE-jumpers). And we all know if you do not create a strong foundation first, everything else topples over.

But without the cooperation of every BASE jumper, our organizations will never create such a foundation.

Then.........
* Less legal site will exist.

* Jumps site will become even more difficult as we loose more and more sites.

* More students will be taught incorrectly or not al all.

* More jumpers will get hurt.

* More jumpers will die.

* The fines for illegal jumps will become unbarable for everyone except the rich.

* The very thing that envelopes your entire life and makes you the enlightend person(s) that you are, will be destroyed forever.

Quit teahcing for your ego.

Students:

Quit jumping for someone else. Quit jumping for your ego. Quit jumping until you know everything you need.



* Ignorance is only bliss until you learn something.

* Ignorance can find luck. But luck will not always be there when you need it most.
