Just returned from Madeira and building work is taking place on the site of Cabo girao the car park is being re done but more importantly the viewing point {exit point] is going to be refurbished with the same set up as the grand canyon ie the sky bridge ,but on a much smaller scale not sure how far out it is going to be extended but the builders finished project picture looks very inviting . Also on visiting the north of the island the vertical cliffs are plentifull I had identified another viewing point near porto moniz 300 ft approx could be higher, landing area is a beach but would require a boat for pick up harbour is about half mile away. Have a feeling Madeira has a lot to offer but it would take off the beaten track climbs and hikes to find the pot of gold.
