I'm starting to plan a trip to Europe with a focus on the Scandanavian countries for 2008.
About what is the distance between the Stavanger Region and Trollveggen??

Is renting an auto really worth it?? I've heard gas is really expensive??

How much is beer really in Lysebotn??

I'll have more questions later as I think of them.

I rented a car opal wagon in 2005 for 5days cost $420 us. Gas to fill half tank $50, the gas price was like $8.50 a gal. you need to look into rail pass they are bargain, they have sleeper car too (cost extra ) but worth it if you are going to Swiss valley, and or Italy save you lot of money good luck.

Beer is around $10 (USD) a bottle at the cafe in Lysebotn. I found it for around $5 a can in Stavenger. The best deal I found was at the Stavenger airport duty free shop, where the prices were reasonable.
