    PILOT CHUTES

CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE RECOMENDED SIZE FOR PILOT CHUTES USED IN NORWAY. I'VE HEARD EVERYTHING FROM 28"Z.P. TO 38"F-111. WHAT DO THE EXPERTS RECOMMEND? PLEASE BE SPECIFIC WITH O.P. OR F-111 I'M HEADED THERE IN JULY AND ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.

    RE: PILOT CHUTES

Depends on which jumps you are doing as they are not all terminal velocity deployments in Norway.

Although I'm sure you wouldn't go there without doing a few at Kjerag.

Have a look at this size/delay info at:

    Cheers

    RE: PILOT CHUTES

    sure we can
    but,
YOU also need to be specific.
    1) what type,(BASE specific, converted ff),
    canopy are you jumping?
    2) what size canopy are you jumping?
    3) how long of a delay do you plan?
    4) what type of container will you be jumping?
    5) will you be freefalling hand-held or stowed?

if you ask for specific recommendations please don't expect us to assume what your plans or gear are.

for an excellent general recommendation chart check out the BR site for a
Delay and Altitude Equipment Planning Chart.
They make assumptions also, so call your gear manufacturer for specific recommendations.
They know FAR more than most of us do.

    stay safe,
